Task 1

Task 1: My language learning history + future goals

  • Goal: To make a narrated PowerPoint presentation.
  • What is a narrated PowerPoint presentation? It is a PowerPoint presentation in which you have recorded your voice and set the timings for each slide so that the presentation can run automatically. For example: https://youtu.be/Q420jkAc05I
  • Topic: Your language learning history & Future goals
  • Due date: October 15
  • Length: 3-4 minutes

Language learning history
When you talk about your language learning history you should talk about the most important things in your history of learning English. You should at least talk about 3 important things. For example:
  1. When you were young you went to America for a holiday. You wanted to watch TV there but you couldn't understand the English. This is why you want to study English.
  2. In Junior high school you had a teacher who inspired you to study English.
  3. In university you did a study abroad program in Canada.

Future goals
  • Talk about your goals and how you plan to achieve them.
  • Your goals can be short term (this semester), long term (by the time you graduate), and/or very long term (in 10 years).
